Public access television is more than just viewing, It allows all of us in the community to get the word out about news and events on the local level. It allows everyone in the community the opportunity to participate—suggesting programming, borrowing equipment, and learning to create shows themselves.

Watching TV is changing. People are streaming and watching on demand more and more. People are dropping their cable subscriptions. This has had a negative effect on public access TV which is part of the cable TV system. In 2018, the cable companies slammed the local, public access channels down from channel 2 to channel 1301. This means people do not happen upon the programming as they click through the top channels. People have to intentionally watch local television.

We want to keep this grassroots means of local expression vibrant and flourishing. We encourage community support to help us maintain our quirky, cool and homespun programming happening.

Contribute by joining our volunteer production crew or help with a monetary tax deductible contribution. We appreciate each and every business and individual who contributes!

Now more than ever Belfast Community Media appreciates your sponsorship

Watch On Demand

These links will take you to Vimeo where many Belfast Community TV programs are archived. The programs can be watched, rewatched, and shared.

The programs on Vimeo can also be viewed on a Smart TV, Apple TV or with other streaming devices like a Roku. Load the Vimeo app on the device and sign up for a free account.

If you are watching Belfast Community Media ON DEMAND, the picture will be in high definition. That means the picture will look sharp and clear if you are watching on a large screen, high definition TV.

When a show is broadcast at low definition, the picture may look fuzzy and out of focus on a high definition TV.  Spectrum Cable broadcasts the public service channels only at low definition.
